Abstract EN

Through the regional economic integration, States are trying to expand their intra-regional trade and increased economic cooperation among member States.

The Arab countries have been interested to establish the fundamentals of economic cooperation on a common basis.

Therefore, different regional Arab blocs emerged, including the Arab Maghreb Union.

However, this Union did not achieve the desired results for several political and economic reasons.

And through this research, we tried to focus on the importance of intra-regional trade in the promotion of Maghreb economic integration.

Using the descriptive approach and the analytical approach and relying on the official statistics on intra-Arab trade, which showed that the volume of trade between the Maghreb Arab countries is weak compared to some of the leading economic blocs.
