Abstract EN

This study aims to highlight the reality of the phenomenon of poverty in Algeria through an analysis of the statistics for the period 2000-2016 using a set of indicators and rates related to poverty in algeria, In addition to the total policies adopted to combat this phenomenon and reduce its severity and its effects on the algerian social situation during the same period.

The study found a difference in poverty rates in algeria during the study period In view of the fluctuations in oil prices that often affect their rise, which are reflected in the standard of living of Algerian society, despite the adoption of a set of policies aimed at eliminating the phenomenon in algeria, it did not achieve significant results in that when compared to the huge financial envelopes that were monitored to implement these policies.
