Abstract EN

This research deals the phenomenon of ellipse as one of the mechanisms of textual consistency that are used to perform the role of the apparent / hidden link that gives the text a kind of coherence and cohesion at the level of its surface structure in the Letter (AL JAD W AL HAZL) for EL-JAHIZ.

Our study has been founded on two main pillars, the first of which is the foundational theory, explaining the most important theoretical perceptions related to consistency ellipse and its types, and the second, my application, has tried to penetrate into the letter structure, and touches the work of arbitrary deletion between its texts, and the manifestation of the patterns of this ellipse.
