The current study aims to reveal the importance of distance learning as an alternative option for face to face learning in the educational and university institutions and vocational training institutes, coinciding with the emergence of the pandemic of the Coronavirus.

Whereas, the study worked on describing the substantial requirements to improve the distance learning and define the ways to face these challenges that prevent it.

Therefore, the study adopted the descriptive and analytical approach, and also the study reached the following results: that distance learning is still in its early stages despite the presence of advantages, and that the requirements for its success are mainly to provide adequate technological means and requirements for all learners without exception, and to create a solid infrastructure for this digital pattern And the need to rehabilitate human resources capable of using this type of education in order to meet the needs of learners and students, and in the end work to reconsider programs related to the educational system to keep pace with the changes of the era and globalization in order to achieve prosperity and development that serves the family and society.
