Abstract EN

This study attempts to analyse the effects of marriage in Algeria from a demographic perspective.

we seek through this study to recognize the demographic effects resulting from marriage, especially from fertility and the old spinsterhood, especially among women, in addition to the transformation in the family type.

The results have shown that many demographic transformations have happened like: the apparent decline in the fertility rates, and the growing trend towards the family autonomy.

The study has also, researched in the high rate of the spinsterhood among women.
