Abstract EN

The study aimed to find out the effectiveness of one of the cooperative learning strategies, (Think - Pair - Share) in developing critical thinking skills in the physical sciences of second year secondary school students from the branch of Experimental Sciences, These skills are: -knowledge of hypotheses -Interpretation - Evaluation of discussions -Elicitation - Conclusion.

The critical thinking scale and the teacher's guide were used as study tools.

The study was based on an experimental approach.

It was applied to a sample of (46) students, divided into two experimental and control groups, who were randomly selected from "Omar Al-Mokhtar" secondary school in the city of Ain Al-Hadjel in M'sila.

The study concluded the effectiveness of the cooperative learning strategy in the development of critical thinking skills among students in the experimental group in physical sciences, through the following findings: - There are statistically significant differences between the two groups in the posttest of the skill of knowing the hypotheses in favor of the experimental group.

- There are statistically significant differences between the two groups in the post test of the skill of interpretation in favor of the experimental group.

- There are statistically significant differences between the two groups in the posttest of the skill of evaluating the discussions in favor of the experimental group.

- There are statistically significant differences between the two groups in the posttest of the elicitation skill in favor of the experimental group.

- There were no statistically significant differences between the two groups in the posttest of the conclusion skill.
