This article examines the problematic of the Quranic stories in modern studies, which constitute one of the main approaches to re-reading the Quranic discourse in general.

The study sought to highlight the strategy that the scholars, Khalfalla and Al-Jabri, dealt with the Quranic stories as an example of the statement and the lesson rather than historical facts, but the main objective of this study is not only to analyze the elements of the researchers' thesis but also to explore the effectiveness of the shift in reception conditions between two historical moments of The Modern Arab context, the first concerned the beginning of the twentieth century and dominated by the criterion of religious belief inherited the work of the Khalaf Allah, while the second – because of the various processes of accumulation - wide openness to the prospects of criticism of heritage and re-reading; that accepted the Al-Jabri Project
