In this article, we aim to introduce computational linguistics, which represents a new field of knowledge that is becoming more important day after day with the great spread of the computer and its branches.

The importance of computational linguistics lies in the fact that it combines two very important areas: linguistics as the center of language studies in our time, which is capable of interpreting a person's linguistic behavior and understanding its various characteristics and variations in a scientific way, and the computer as the dominant instrument of communication and technology.

Throughout this article, we will expose the concept of computational linguistics, and its importance and how Arab researchers receive it, bearing in mind that the studies that have been conducted remain few.
