Abstract EN

This study aims to show the cultural specificity contained in the Algerian novel, to this end, I chose a narrative model for this study, entitled "Ibn Al-Fakir" written by "Mouloud Feraoun", which has been the subject of extensive debate among critics, some including it in the literature of culture, others classifying it as ethnographic literature.

We have highlighted the concept of culture, the problems of Algerian literature and its Issues, and concluded by extracting the manifestations of culture in the Algerian novel written in French (ethnographic and social specificity).

What the writer was looking for was more than a representation of materialistic folklore, it was more about transmitting and translating the spirit of Kabylian society.
