Abstract EN

The present study aims at examining the main aspects of the Arabic contemporary criticism.

This cognitive and cultural filed has witnessed important shifts, especially during the “post-modernism” era, when new means of communication appeared to expand the interest in critics from the elite to the popular culture.

The research paper will mainly focus on the description of the main significant shifts in the critical and the cultural course in the contemporary Arab world.

The study also seeks to demonstrate the discourse aesthetics in Arabic criticism, which went along with the critical and the cultural shifts at the beginning of the 21st century, through the use the descriptive analytical method to achieve the underlined objective.
