Abstract EN

The tourism industry has an utmost importance in the development of countries on more than one level Thanks to its economic, social and environmental impacts, the most important being the contribution to achieve revenues in foreign currency and the contribution in GDP, as well as the contribution of tourism to reducing unemployment and improving the standard of living of the population.

The results indicate the significant delay in the contribution of Algerian tourism to economic and social development during the period of study with the expectation of the continuation of this delay in 2027.

In order to activate the economic and social contribution of tourism in Algeria, we suggested that the Plan (SDAT2030) should be implemented as well as accelerated implementation, with priority given to the development of domestic tourism as an attraction for foreign tourism.
