Crimes against humanity with its multiple actions constitute one of the grave violations of international humanitarian law and human rights law, threatening humankind in their lives, shaking the global conscience and destabilizing peace, security and stability in the world.

In addition to the crime of genocide and war crimes, it is one of the crimes that the civilized world agreed to consider as international crimes that go beyond chasing and punishing.

It has borders thresholds, but crimes against humanity, unlike other international crimes, have remained unscrupulous in their provisions, within the tasks of the International Law Commission in codifying and progressively developing international law.

The commission was eager to formulate draft articles for what could be a convention on crimes against humanity and punishing.

These draft articles came into existence and were approved by the International Law Committee and recommended to the United Nations General Assembly at its last session of 2019 in order to develop an agreement on the basis of it.

This study proposes analyzing the causes and requirements of an international convention on crimes against humanity and punishing it, and the work of the International Law Commission that produced draft articles in this regard.
