This study tackles the phenomenon of imitation in the Arabic poetry as a stylistic and intertextual device.
The researcher chose two poetic texts.
The first text is for Safy – Aldeen Alhaly in which he praises Mohammad Bin Glawn , one of the Mamaleek sultans , and the second poetic text is for Almutanaby in which he praises Ali Bin Mansoor Al – Hajib .
The researcher investigated this stylistic device in these two poems employing a technique based on balancing the two texts through interpreting some verse lines in them .
