اختبار سببية (Toda-Yamamoto)‎ بين الاستثمار في رأس المال البشري و النمو الاقتصادي في مصر في الفترة 1991-2018

Abstract EN

This paper aims to investingate the causality between investment in education and economic growth in Egypt during the period 1991 to 2018.

The empirical verification was done using the long run causality test developed by (Toda-Yamamoto, 1995).

The results indicate that there is no causalities between higher education and economic growth in Egypt.

This is due to the fact that higher education outputs do not correlate with the needs of labor market and its requirements.

The study recommended working to improve the system of education to cope with the needs of labor market and its requirements, also it recommended increasing interest in investment in education and placing it at the top of the priorities of economic policy objectives in Egypt
