Saudi Youth Dependency on Social Media for Information about the Operation Decisive Storm

This research aimed at identifying Saudi youth dependency on social media for information about Operation Decisive Storm, the causes of this reliance, its motives and the cognitive, affective and behavioral impacts of youth reliance on social media.

This study is a descriptive research, which used survey methodology.

The researcher developed a questionnaire as the study instrument, which was applied on the study sample after achieving its validity and reliability.

Data were analyzed using the statistical package (SPSS), and to answer the research questions, Spearman coefficient and Phi correlation coefficient were utilized.

The results of the study showed the existence of Saudi youth dependency on these networks to get information.
