Shanfarai “Lamiyat” represents a realistic image of the sa'alik life in the pre-islamic era, as it advocates principles the seek to liberate people from prevailent traditions, and its quest for freedom, especially that the poet couldn't achieve original social values in his human society.

This has led him to erect new themes through signs of affinities with the worlds of animals in the desert.

He dealt with the system of animals of signs as signifiers and marks to the world of nature around him.

The study has chosen the semiotic approach, which is based on forming the sign form a three-sided triangle: representative, interpreter and subject.

Moreover, the study depended on comprehensive signs as a material thet formulates the text's comprehensive image, in addition to linking it with partial signs through highlighting color signs and connecting them with spatial and temporal signs and their influence in making the grand sign.

The poem represents the poet's vision through a system of signs united with the components of nature in his new society, in all its details.
