يعتبر التدرج من اهم الخصائص التي يقوم عليها التشريع الاسلامي و يظهر ذلك في مختلف مجالات التشريع و هو ما يشير إلى قيام التشريع على حكمة بالغة و التي تتمثل أساسا في مراعاة المكلف حال تنزلات التكاليف و هو ما يجعل من التدرج في حقيقة الامر منهجا قائما بذاته و هو ما يجعل منهج التدرج يرتكز على أبعاد تربوية بالنسبة للمكلفين و أبعاد تشريعية مقاصدية بالنسبة للتشريع تجتمع كلها في غرض واحد و هو تحقيق العبودية لله و امتثال أوامره و نواهيه مع مراعاة التيسير
