This problem poses its magnitude in the translation of idiomatic expressions since the difference appears on the socio-cultural level.

This study aims to analyze the obstacles that idiomatic expressions pose in the translation process.

In this study, we will answer the following questions: • What are the classification criteria of the selected expressions and the working method used? • How were the selected idiomatic expressions translated into the Arabic language without losing their meaning? • What procedures did we use for the transmission of the message? • How were the obstacles encountered in the search for equivalence of expressions overcome and what solutions were proposed?
