يهدف البحث إلى دراسة رواية محمد البساطى دق الطبول من خلال كتاب الحداثة السائلة و مقال "زمن خلو العرش" لزيجمونت بومان.
و تنطبق حالة المجتمع الحداثي السائل على الامارة الخليجية الغنية المتخيلة التي يسيطر عليها اقتصاد السوق.
وقد أمر أمير البلاد جميع الوطنيين بالسفر لفرنسا لتشجيع فريقهم القومي الذي تأهل للعب في كأس العالم لكرة القدم و عندئذ حدثت حالة خلو العرش.
و من خلال المنولوج الدخلى و التبئير للسائق المصري القاص الأول للأحداث تتكشف خيوط سردية تبين أن الرفاهية و الزجاج اللامع للمنتجعات الاستهلاكية يختبىء ورائها مجتمع ديستوبيا محبط بدنيا و نفسيا و جنسيا لدقات قلوب العمال.
و تتحول العلاقات بين الوطنيين و العمال الاجانب إلى علاقات سائلة يستباح فيها كل شيء حتى الشرف مثل علاقة زاهية بمخدومتها خديجة و التي تعمل مرافقة عندها صباحا وجارية للمتعة الجنسية لزوجها ليلا.
Abstract EN
This paper investigates Mohamed El-Bisatie's Drumbeat within the framework of Zygmunt Bauman's Liquid Modernity and his article “Times of Interregnum.
” El-Bisatie draws a fictional Gulf state named “Emirate” as a liquid society.
Upon being qualified to play in the World Cup, the Emir orders all nationals to travel to France to support the national soccer team.
Only foreign workers remain in the Emirate.
At this moment, the interregnum takes place.
The paper seeks to find answers to these questions: How does the interregnum reveal a completely different world of foreign workers? How is the sexual repression of the foreign workers transformed into sexual-dysfunction? The paper concludes that the fictional Emirate sucks
