Abstract EN

Our aim here is to research about a number of terms upon which cognitive linguistics is based, we begin by the cognition term, considering the oldest use of it in Sufism and ancient religions, as well as the term cognition in its indication of the internal achievement of the mind, which took with linguistics it's scientific character, and the research of the human achievement of the human language, and all esoteric functions of the mind, to push the research into the field of educational languages, as we search for the roots of the term in Arab heritage, and how it was nominated at the expense of other terms in modern Arabic linguistic studies.

Therefore, we question if the cognitive linguistics arose from the participation of a group of sciences to deal with one subject, where the subject of language awareness required that science to know what it is? Or is it an area where a group of sciences intersected forming a new science? Or is it a state of scientific transcendence, which has eluded mechanisms to obtain a comprehensive knowledge that brings together all dimensions.
