'Emala' is a linguistical phenomenon that was common among tribes in Arabia.

It is about an inclination to make the 'fatha' sound be articulated as a 'kasra' as well as the sound of the letter 'alef' be given as the sound of the letter 'yaa'.

This can result in bringing about sound approximation between different sounds that can be used as a variety for making articulation easier.

'Emala' is divided into two types and has been given variant indicating terms.

It has also been attributed to different causes, where scholars have not agreed upon the number of its types.

The researcher handles in this study the phenomenon of 'Emala' in Arabic literary heritage within an analytical, descriptive approach in the light of Hamza citation.

'Emala' is related here to the specific use made of it among particular tribes inArabia to accomplish a symmetrical approximation typical of what was spoken rather than of what was written.

The researcher chose to dwell on the reading ofHamza bin Habib Azzaiyat (died in 156 H.C.) for his established scholarity among readers, being a prominent Kofi scholar and a teacher for Alkassaee, aswell as for his distinguished identified 'emala' examples.
