Abstract EN

This research examines the exaggerated strategies in Qur'anic discourse, focusing firstly on its definition.

Then, the study attempts to explain how linguistic and non-linguistic strategies have been used to express exaggeration in Qur'anic discourse.

Linguistic strategies are three types.

Firstly, morphological and phonetic uses such as definite and indefinite nouns, affixes, singular and plural nouns and the rhythm of the intervals.

Secondly, structural strategies include addition, questioning style, repetition, deletion and the oath.

Thirdly, semantic strategies include pronoun shifts, ambiguity and interpretation, ambiguity without explanation, redundancy, metaphors, idioms and color.

Non-linguistic strategies refer to body language.
