Abstract EN

The study aims to analyze the impact of foreign direct investment on employment in Algerian economy, by taking annual data covering the period 1986 to 2016.

We use the autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) and bounds test approach.

Our results confirm that there is a negative and significant impact of foreign direct investment and real exchange rate on employment in Algeria.

While the effect of gross domestic Product is positive in long run.

These results represent new insights into Algeria's openness policy for promoting employment.
