الملخص EN

The research aimed at showing the role of the administration in the Faculties of Damascus University to develop its students' environmental awareness.

The sample consisted of 467 members of the educational staff from the scientific and art faculties .

A special survey was designed for this purpose.

The descriptive analytical method was used to achieve the aims of the research.

The results proved the following : - The sample members’ predictions of how much the contribution of the administration in the faculty in developing the environmental awareness was average - The wider aspect in which the administration plays its role in developing the environmental awareness from the sample members’ point of view was the behavioural aspect, then the affective and finally the cognitive one.

- There were no statistically significant differences due to the gender variable among the estimates of the research sample of the administrations' practice to develop students' environmental awareness.

- There were statistically significant differences due to the type of faculty variable(scientific or art) in the affective and behavioral aspect in favor of the scientific faculties, whereas there were no differences in the cognitive aspect.

- The research concluded with many recommendations and suggestions that increase the administration’s contribution in the faculty in developing the students’ environmental awareness.
