الملخص EN

The competitive behavior are important and influential in achieving academic excellence, so felt the researcher to choose competitive behavior among the students to increase the motivation to try to improve their level of knowledge and has an important role in the competitive performance among students and motivate them towards their future, so sought the current study was to verify the following objectives: •Identify competitive behavior when students of the fourth stage.

•Identify the differences of the students in the competitive behavior between males and females.

The study was conducted on the fourth stage students in counseling and educational guidance department at the College of Education for the Humanities, University of Basra for the academic year 2014/2015 and the number of selected sample (40) students (20) students (20 students), and the required study to build scale competitive behavior as well verification of a secondary variable is the (sex), and I've researcher relied on behavioral theory in the construction of the tool, and has consisted of the scale of (22) items, check out the virtual honesty through submission to (5) of a specialist psychological counseling and educational and psychological sciences, I have used the ratio Centennial has been staying on the paragraphs which got 80% or more, and the researcher used construction sincerity and honesty discriminatory and were all distinct paragraphs and the level of significance (0.05), as the validity and reliability in a manner )Retest) amounted to (0.95) and the level of significance (0.01) and the method of standard error degree (4.85449), and show that the measure enjoys a high degree of stability, the study found the following results: •The research sample boast of competitive behavior, use samples t-test for one sample to find the difference between the sample mean and average theoretical measure of the competitive behavior of degrees (55).

When the comparison shows that T extracted value of $ (2,270) degree, statistically significant at the level of (0.05) and at a temperature of freedom (39) for the benefit of the sample mean.

•There is no statistically significant differences in competitive behavior between the research sample depending on the variable sex, Accor ding to Tcalculated value of $ (1,401) compared to the value of the degree of T-Indexed (2.03) at the level of (0.05) and the degree of freedom (38).
