The present research attempts to identify the correlation between the Machiavellian personality and crisis management among secondary schools principals.

To achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher has adopted the (Abdul Wahed, 2021) scale designed to measure the Machiavellian personality.

The scale consists of (29) items distributed over three areas (the view of human nature, strategies for manipulating others, Machiavellian ethics) in varying ways and with a five-graded gradation for the alternatives (Fully Agree, Agree Often, agree sometimes, agree rarely, never agree) and the correction of the scale is (5, 4, 3, 2, 1,) and the scores are given in reverse for the negative items.

The other scale used is (Saleh, 2010) set up to measure crisis management, which consists of (52) items.

It is divided into five areas, namely: managing of the crisis of lack of school buildings, equipment and supplies, managing the crisis of shortage of teachers and their rehabilitation, managing failure and dropout crisis, managing school violence crisis, and managing the security situation crisis) by (10, 10, 11, 10, 11) paragraphs consecutively and in a five-step gradation for the alternatives (strongly Agree, Agree, Agree to a certain extent, Disagree, strongly Disagree).

The researcher has verified the validity and reliability of the two scales.

The two scales were applied to the research sample of (225) principals (male and female) of secondary schools affiliated to the General Directorates of Education in Baghdad (Al-Karkh/1, Al-Karkh/2, Karkh/3) for the academic year 2020-2021.

They were randomly and electronically selected from the research community.

After collecting and analyzing the data statistically, the researcher found a low level of the Machiavellian personality among managers; they are found to have a high ability to manage crisis.

There is an inverse relationship between the Machiavellian personality and the crisis management of managers.

In light of the results of the present research, the researcher developed a set of conclusions, recommendations and suggestions.
