Social media and academic performance at the king Saud university in Saudi Arabia

This study examines the impact of social media networks on the academic performance of king Saud university students in Saudi Arabia.

the investigation was guided by five research questions and five research hypotheses.

to accomplish this, a descriptive survey research design was utilized.

the focus of the investigation was the king Saud university in Saudi Arabia.

the sample of 451 individuals was selected using simple random sampling.

collecting participant data involved using a five-point Likert type rating scale questionnaire titled: social media and academic performance of students' questionnaire.

according to the study, students have a neutral attitude toward social network addiction, academic performance, exposure to social media networks and academic performance, and the use of social media and academic performance.

in addition, the results indicated that respondents believe there is a significant difference between males and females regarding social media usage; the results indicate that males were more likely to use social media compensation than females.

students do not significantly agree with the age groups that use social media.

the findings suggest that the age of individuals did not play a significant role in determining their social media usage.

it suggests that they view age usage of social media in a balanced or impartial manner without demonstrating a significant preference or disagreement towards any particular age group.
