The prevalence of communicable diseases in al-Kadhimiya sector in Baghdad City

During the period from Is1 of January 2004 to 31 December 2004.

4525cases were studied for communicable diseases attending Al-Khadhraa and Al-Shua la Primary Health Care Centre in Al-Kadhimiya sector in Baghdad city.

The prevalence rate of communicable diseases in Al-Khadhraa among 28438 patients was ( 1.8%) and in AL- Shua la among 105838 patients (3.8%) and in Al- Kadhimiya sector among 134276 was (3.3%) and it was found that there is close relationship between these communicable diseases and sex, area of residence.

Study revealed that there is a highly significant difference in prevalence rate of communicable diseases in relation to different place of PHC centre in Al- Kadhimiya sector.

The study revealed that there is no relationship between types of viral Hepatitis and different place of PHC centre in AL- Kadhimiya sector
