الملخص الإنجليزي

The stability and the entrapment efficiency of different types of liposomes were investigated by incubation of these liposomes at room temperature and 4oC.

The optical densities (absorbances), aggregations, size, and oxidation degradations of liposomes suspension were used as an indicator of liposomes stability.

It was found that addition of Cholesterol to PC liposome enhanced their stability by decreasing the size changes and oxidation degradation, while addition of PS decrease their stability. The effect of pH in the entrapment efficiency of these liposomes of PBV demonstrated that these liposomes have high percentage of entrapment at pH 12 more than at pH 9.0 and pH 6.0.

Adsorption studies of BSA illustrated that no effect of the studied pH on the adsorption of BSA may be due to the strong attractive forces that exceed the repulsive forces. Interaction of liposomes with neutrophils revealed that these liposomes stimulate the activity of these cells especially after 30 min of incubation and show high percentage of morphological changes (polarization) of these cells.
