الملخص الإنجليزي

-The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of types of involvement on automobile consumer’s satisfaction.

In order to achieve that, the researcher developed and tested a model describing high involvement (i.e.

price, quality and after-sales service) and low involvement (i.e.

brand and design) and their influence to consumers’ satisfaction according to demographic variables (i.e.

gender, age and income).

A convenience sample was selected from Kangnam residents (a city area in Seoul) who are over 20 years old and are able to drive and purchase automobile.

788 questionnaires were distributed and response rate was 69%.

The result indicates that all involvement factors have an effect on consumer satisfaction.

It was found that gender is not a significant demographic variable to differentiate the level of satisfaction.

On the other hand, age and income have shown a significant effect on the level of satisfaction.

The study ends with a number of conclusions which might be useful for implementing marketing strategy of automobile industry.

The study has suggested some useful recommendation for the automobile industry and future research.
