الملخص الإنجليزي

One of the modem and important techniques in electrical distribution systems is to solve the networks problem of service availability, high loss and low voltage stability by accommodating small scaled de-centralized generating units in these networks, which is known as distributed generation (DG).

Due to distribution network's development and fast growth, the DG accommodation is reported by previous workers as a technically and mathematically difficult problem; Due to this fact the Genetic Algorithm (GA) technique is dedicated in this work to find the optimal DG locations, and then optimally allocate units using a program developed by MATLAB 7 in order to maximize the penetration level, minimize loss, and improve voltage stability.

Programming mitigation techniques are also adopted in the GA search to minimize the adverse impacts due to network function change.

Furthermore, multi solution results with many comparisons are presented in the optimality study.

In order to guarantee the success of providing the best optimal solutions, a geographical constraint GIO is also included.

In this work, a 30-bus IEEE system is tested successfully.

A fast, reliable and multi solution is the main advantages of the developed program providing 100 % load demand covering, 70 % reduction in active loss, and noticeable voltage stability improvement after 40 % load growth.

Rotor angle transient stability study for DG units, after optimal accommodation, is finally presented using a modified Euler numeric technique program, the CCT is estimated for many fault cases at each accommodated plant.
