الملخص الإنجليزي

In this work divergent approach (from the central core out to the periphery) was used to synthesize dendrimers (Scheme).

The multi was readily prepared according to the reported method by the reaction of ethylenediamine with methylacrylate.

Dendrimer 1 was then converted to the hydrazide derivative (2) by the reaction with hydrazine hydrate.

The corresponding dithiocarbazetes derivative (3) was then prepared by the addition of carbon disulphide to the resulted hydrazide, which upon heating educes 3, 4-oxadiazole-2-thione (4 and 4").

Alkylation of the 1, 3, 4-oxadiazole-2-thione derivative using methyl iodide yielded the 1, 3, 4-oxadiazole-2-methylthione derivative (5-811).

The compounds were characterized by elemental analyses and some standard spectroscopic techniques such as 13C- nuclear magnetic resonance, mass spectroscopy and infrared spectroscopy.
