Rehabilitation program for anterior cruciate ligament injuries following arthroscopic middle patellar tendon autograft

Rehabilitation program for knees arthroscopic ACL reconstruction by middle patellar tendon autograft was performed and assessed in 20 patients up to one year.

Fifty Percent of the patients were able to continue the program.

A specific rehabilitation program was followed.

The result showed that all the patients experienced pain at different stages of rehabilitation.

The range of movement returned normal.

The efficiency was 77 % of the hamstring muscles after one year and was 78 % for the hamestering.

The results were satisfactory and awareness of the patients and the doctors for the importance and long time of the program is recommended.
