الملخص EN

The analysis of the data has shown some considerable differences in the number of translation errors in types of conjunction relations.

The results have indicated that the most difficult relation of conjunctive adjuncts to translate to the least difficult one are as follows : "temporal relation 26 %", "adversative relation 34 %", "continuative relation 38 %", "additive relation 49 %", and "causal relation 53 %".

However, it can be noticed that the temporal, adversative, and continuative types are more difficult to translate than the additive and causal ones.

Thus the major findings of this study are : 1) Many errors are attributable to interference from Arabic than to other learning problems.

2) the most common errors in translation of conjunctive adjuncts are substitution, false application, and ignorance of English language rules.
