Camphor leaves powder, neem seed kernels powder (NSKP) and El-haza aerial parts powder were used in concentrations of 2.5%, 5% and 10% to test the protection of faba beans from Bruchidius incarnates in a traditional store.

An artificial infestation by releasing 300 insects in the centre of a traditional store was done every week for a month.

The average number by releasing eggs laid, adults emerged and infestation percentage of faba beans grains decreased with increasing concentrations of all plant products used and increased with time.

At 2.5% concentration (w / w) in camphor leaves powder the average number of eggs laid was 53 and 615.7 in September and December respectively.

In El-haza aerial parts powder at 2.5% concentration the average number of eggs laid was 70.3 and 817.3 in September and December respectively.
