الملخص EN

This paper discusses the different types of glass used in architecture.

It also investigates the importance of studying methods of energy consumption to find a solution for reducing the consumption rates through improving the efficiency of different types of glass used in buildings.

The results revealed a specific type of amorphous semi-conductor chalcogenide glass (InSnSeBi) which has better physical properties and factors achieving high rates of energy consumption in buildings.

The structure as well as characterization of the synthesized materials have been studied by density determination, X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Energy Dispersive X-ray (EDX), Differential Thermal Analysis (DTA), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), UV Spectrophotometer and effect of gamma radiation.
