الملخص الإنجليزي

The study examined the impact of watching and listening to English media on the level of knowledge and recall of vocabulary among teachers of English as a second language in Madaba public schools.

To achieve the objectives of the study a questionnaire was developed and distributed to a randomly selected sample of (230) participants, which represented (70%) of the study population, out of which (218) questionnaires were retrieved representing (70%) of the study sample.

Based on Statistical Package for Social Sciences (Spss.17) (Statistical package For Social Sciences) to find mean and standard deviations, the study found the following results: The results showed that there are no significant statistical differences at (α ≥0.05) between watching and listening to English media on the level of knowledge and recall of vocabulary among teachers of English as a in Madaba public schools due to gender, also the study showed that, there were significant statistical differences at (α ≥0.05) between watching and listening to English media on the level of knowledge and recall of vocabulary among teachers of English as a in Madaba public schools due to (age, experience, education).

The study recommended the need for conducting much research on the subject of the study as well as implementing more training programs to qualify teachers on using media in their classes
