الملخص الإنجليزي

The purpose of this study is to investigate difficulties facing EFL students in Southern Al-Mazar Directorate of Education in Al-Karak governorate, learning English vocabulary items from their teachers' perspectives; in light of some variables; gender, qualification and teaching experience.

The sample of the study was selected purposefully.

It consisted of the whole population of the study which was (198) teachers; (71) male and (127) female teachers in Southern Al-Mazar Directorate of Education.

Final population consisted of (177) teachers because there were (21) teachers used as a pilot study.

Results displayed that there are statistically significant differences at (α= 0.05) in teachers' perspectives about the difficulties facing ninth grade basic stage students in learning vocabulary items due to teachers' gender but there are no statistically significant differences at (α=0.05) in teachers' perspectives due to academic qualification variable and teaching experiences variable.
