الملخص الإنجليزي

This research aims at investigating the effect of using communicative classroom activities of fourth graders' achievement in grammar tests in private schools in Al- Karak.

This qualitative and quantitative research includes 40 participants from fourth graders (males and females) students in EFL classrooms at Mu'aab secondary school at Al-Karak private directorate of education in Jordan.

This study involves one research instrument that is the achievement test.

The researcher used SPSS for analyzing the collected data.

The first (20 students) will be as experimental group applying the communicative classroom activities while the second group will be considered as control group (20 student) applying the traditional teaching way in learning English as a second language without using any kind of communicative classroom activities .

Both methods of teaching grammar by using communicative classroom activities and the traditional method affect the achievement of the fourth graders on the grammar test .

But when comparing between the two methods , the researcher based on the study findings – discovered that teaching by communicative classroom activities has more effect than the traditional method .

The findings indicated that the results of the communicative classroom activities were significantly positive and affected the achievement of the fourth graders on the grammar test.

This research recommends that further research be conducted to investigate other types of dialogues.
