الملخص الإنجليزي

The study aimed to investigate the impact of using Deductive and Inductive Strategies in Teaching Reading skills in English language of tenth students in Southern AL-Mazar Directorate of Education.

The sample of the study consisted of (40) female students distributed into two groups; the first experimental group consisted of (20) students; and the second experimental group of (20) students, which was randomly selected.

The instrument of the study was a reading test.

The results of the study showed that there were statistical significant differences at (a≤ 0.05) in favor of the first experimental group.

In light of the results of the study some recommendations were proposed, including: The need to embrace the inductive and deductive method in the educational process in the Jordanian educational institutions and educational curricula.
