الملخص EN

The current study aimed to investigate the degree of practicing multiple intelligences among principals and its relationship to their job satisfaction.

The study sample consisted of (83) principals, chosen randomly from among the principals of Irbid city in Jordan for the academic year 2015/2016.

Two instruments were utilized in this study: Multiple Intelligences Inventory by Walter McKenzie (1999) and Job Satisfaction Questionnaire.

The results showed that the degree of practicing multiple intelligences among principals ranked medium and that interpersonal intelligence was in the first place with high degree, while musical intelligence ranked last with medium degree of practice.

The results showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the degree of principals’ practice of multiple intelligences due to the impact of the variable of gender in all domains except for musical intelligence, where statistical differences were in favor of females.

The results also revealed lack of statistical differences attributed to scientific qualification and experience in all domains.

The results also showed that the degree of job satisfaction among principals in Jordan was high, while there were no statistically significant differences in the degree of job satisfaction among principals due to gender, scientific qualification and experience.

The findings revealed a statistically significant positive correlation between each of linguistic/verbal intelligence, interpersonal intelligence, natural intelligence and multiple intelligences and principals’ job satisfaction.

The study recommended holding seminars, conferences, training courses and practical workshops for principals in order to promote the practice of multiple intelligences through valid scientific methodology.
