الملخص العربي

يستخدم الناس في التواصل مبدأ التعاون والمبادئ الحوارية الأربعة: النوع، الكم، العلاقة، والاسلوب.

يقترح غـرايس (:) مبادئ الحوار هذه، ويناقش كذلك بأن على الناس، إلى حد ما، الالتزام بهـا مـن أجـل تحقيق تواصل ناجح.

وعلى أرض الواقع، من المرجح أن يتجاوز المشاركون في الحدث الكلامي هذه المبادئ الحوارية مع فهم ما يتواصلون به ثمة أسباب وراء تجاوز المبادئ الحوارية، وهذه الأسباب يمكن أن تكون في الغالب وراء ظهور ما دعاه غرايس (:) بالدلالة الكامنة أو التعريض وفي ضوء مبدأ التعاون لغرايس، تركز الدراسة لحالية على كيفية قيام الشخصيات في رواية باولو كويلهو الخيميائي باللجوء إلى تجاوز المبادئ لأربعة وخرقها، وتحليل شخصيات الرواية بطريقة وصفية، وتفحص مدى إمكانية الامتثال والالتزام أو.

الامتثال عدم وعدم الالتزام بهذه المبادئ.

وتحدد الدراسة أيضا ما إذ اكانت الشخصيات تجاوزت هذه المبادئ بوعي أو بغي روعي، وتوضح الدلالة الكامنة وراء تجاوز المبادئ، والتيمن المأمول أن تساعد في اعطاء فرصة أفضل للكشف عن جميع الحالات الغامضة وكذلك بناء وعي أفضل للرواية.

تهدف الدراسة أيضًا إلى التعرف على أكثر المبادئ تجاوزاً وأسباب اللجوء إلى التجاوز والانتهاك.

ومن بين الاستنتاجات التي تم التوصل إليها في هذه الدراسة ان جميع المبادئ قد تم تجاوزها وانتهاكها من طرف شخصيات الرواية.

ومع ذلك، فإن المبدأ الرئيس الذي تجاوزته شخصيات رواية الخيميائي أكثر من غيره هو مبدأ النوع.

four conversational maxims: quality, quantity, relevance and manner.

Grice (1975:24) suggests these maxims of conversation, and argues that people should, to a certain degree, obey them so as to achieve a successful communication.

In reality, participants of a speech act are likely to flout the maxims without misunderstanding what they communicate.

There are reasons behind flouting the maxims, and these reasons could be mostly behind the generation of what Grice (1975:27) calls implicature.

In the light of Grice's cooperative principle, the present study focuses on how the characters in Paulo Coelho's The Alchemist resort to flouting and violating the four maxims, analyzes the characters of the novel in a descriptive way, and examines to what extent they could achieve compliance and fulfillment or non–compliance and non-fulfillment of these maxims.

The study also identifies whether the characters flout the maxims consciously or unconsciously, and illustrates the implicature behind flouting the maxims, which is hoped to help give a better chance to reveal all ambiguous instances as well as build up a better awareness of the novel.

The study also aims at recognizing the most flouted maxims and the reasons for resorting to flouting and violation.

Among the conclusions reached in this study is that all maxims are flouted and violated by the novel's characters.

Nevertheless, the main maxim flouted by the characters of The Alchemist is the maxim of quality
