Learning Disabilities Theories and Solutions Learning disabilities are considered one of the educational phenomenon that’s obsessed educationalists and become a burning need for specialists، there is an international statistics showing that 30% of males and females suffer from learning disabilities.

Therapists have started studying these problems followed by educationalists in sixties of the twentieth century.

Samuel Kerk، that American psychologist،compiled the first book in which he included many definitions for learning disabilities problems.

Then، learning disabilities have been recognized by the American Federal Law leading to free teaching for the target students .

This phenomenon isn’t related to certain culture or social background but to other reasons such as biological، organic or environmental.

Moreover learning disabilities aren’t related to age or intelligence level.

For example، clever students may face academic problems in language applications، mathematical operations or growth problems in thought and social interaction، all of which can’t be treated in collected teaching.

learning disabilities are considered a secret handicap.

Children appear physically healthy but only specialists are able to diagnose the overlapping behaviorisict-academic problems، such as difficulty in social interaction، behavior self- discipline، mental inconsistency and confusion in comprehension calculating operations.

Educationalists give many definitions for learning disabilities.

They used it to modify children having intermediate or higher mental capacities but suffering from learning disabilities due to the deficiency in language، memory، attention and forming the concept.

Kerk is the pioneer in this respect.

He’s restricted his definition to children suffering from troubles in language development and social interaction skills excluding the handicapped dumb and deaf children .

The main difficulty such children suffer from is their inability to normalist with the educational tasks which originally designed for all students.

In the Arab World، educational strategies for learning disabilities is still creeping and below the required level.

All students are taught together in the same class which leads to law achievement or infiltration of the student shaving such problems.

The role of special education must be highlighted in dealing with phenomenon by devoting suitable educational programs wither، enriching،remedial individual or technical .Furthermore، the role of the family and the society must not be neglected in diagnosis and solutions to overcome these problems.

In this research،many topics related to the conference will be tackled.

The research will also include a general idea about learning disabilities، origin، features، reasons and theories.

In addition، a general vision of plans and strategies to overcome these problems will be interduced .

The research will show the role special education are the teachers’ role in designing remedial plans taking into consideration the difference among three different educational terms: learning disabilities، slow learning، and poor achievement.

The research includes invented models to discover Dysgraphia .
