In the field of teaching / learning of the applied sciences, illustrations play an important role in the process of understanding and access to the exploitation of information found in the text.
However, the use of student learning profiles raises questions.
In on a knowledge system that takes into account both the characteristics of visual documents and the learning profiles of students.

En domaine d’enseignement /d’apprentissage des sciences dures, les illustrations y sont pour beaucoup dans le processus de compréhension et l’accès a l’exploitation de l’information contenue dans le texte.
Toutefois, l’utilisation des profils d’apprentissage des étudiants suscitent des questionnements.
Dans cet article, nous étudions comment se réalise l’accès aux informations scientifiques à travers les illustrations en faisant appel aux profils d’apprentissage.
Pour ce faire, notre recherche se focalise sur le système de connaissances, qui prend en compte à la fois, les caractéristiques des documents visuels et les profils d’apprentissage des étudiants.
