This research aimed to reveal the differences in appreciation of risks threat to the self, physical environment, and the control of it according to the variables of (gender, learning level, economic status, parent learning level and residential area),as well as determining the relationship between the three dimensions of environmental appraisal Inventory (EAI) and the thinking styles (Synthetic, Idealistic, Pragmatic, Analytic And Realistic).it also aimed at determining the relationship between the three dimensions of Environmental Appraisal Inventory (EAI) to the five big personality factors.

The research sample consisted of (339)male and female students from the secondary stage and Damascus University (faculty of education) The most important results of the research were: There wasn`t a significant relationship between thinking style and any dimensions of Environmental Appraisal Inventory (EAI) , but there was a significant relationship of conscientiousness to appraisal of risk threat to the physical environment and control of it.

For the most predicted variables of the environmental risks appraisal were residential area, educational level and gender.
