This article attempts to examine two of the most important concepts of the modern linguistic lesson, and it is about the concepts of argumentation and persuasion, as they are the most important achievements of pragmatic studiesThe nature of this article is the comparative study between the concepts created by pragmatics on the one hand, and the heritage of the old Arabic linguistic lesson on the other hand.

The communicative process and the speakers intentions are the most important things that researchers in all nations, and at all times, have even looked at in ways that lead to the success of the achievement Verbal and affect the recipient, regardless of the nature and degree of that effect.

The study and comparison of this article concludes that what the modern linguistic lesson suggests from the approaches of the argumentation find their direct impact in all what the lesson of the heritage concepts, and adopted mechanisms, and the only difference is the process of theorisation and regulation.
