Abstract EN

The current research aimed to predict the level of English language skills (listening , speaking , reading and writing ) by the knowledge of extra-curricular activities .

The pilot research sample consisted of ( ) male and female pupils of the sixth grade of primary school ,and the basic sample was ( ) from the sixth grade pupils , and the researcher used the descriptive analytical method , and to collect data , a questionnaire consisting of items and an achievement test was used .

For data processing , multiple regression analysis was used , and this was done through the Statistical Package for Social Sciences program (SPSS).

It was found from the results of the regression analysis that the value of (F) reached , , which is a statistically significant value , which indicates that the level of English language skills can be predicated with the knowledge of extra curricular activities , and the contribution percentage ranged which indicates the effectiveness of the role of extra curricular activities in predicting the level of English language skills (listening , speaking, reading and writing ).

The researcher presented a set of recommendations and proposed future research based on its findings , such as the importance of activating extra – curricular activities in primary schools and urging pupils to participate in its various fields because the primary stage is one of the most important educational stages
