Abstract EN

The study aimed to specify indicators of technical infrastructure readiness in public schools for the elementary stage (girls) in Medina, to study the extent of achieving the readiness of technical infrastructure of schools and specify their obstacles.

To achieve these objectives, a descriptive survey method was used, both (quantitative and qualitative).

To collect the study data, a questionnaire was applied to a random sample of 125 elementary schools' leaders while the interview was applied to a selective sample of 3 elementary schools' leaders and two supervisors from each of IT and School Supplies departments.

The results of the quantitative data showed that the readiness of the technical infrastructure was achieved to a low degree in schools for the elementary stage in Medina.

In addition, there are statistically significant differences between indicators of technical infrastructure readiness in elementary schools attributable to the school's building type and educational office.

On the other hand, the qualitative analysis for the interviews' results have presented a set of obstacles to achieving the readiness of the technical infrastructure in schools, represented by the inefficiency of the available Internet network service in the schools, the low technological readiness of the material and software resources, and the weakness of the provided technical support services.
