The study has been conducted in Iraq in the College of Basic Education / University of Babylon ; it aims at : 1.

Identifying the need for the educational techniques in teaching history in the university stage from the university instructors' point of view.

2.Identifying the requirements for the success of employing the contemporary techniques in the university stage in the College of Basic Education from the university instructors' point of view.

The research depends on a sample of instructors from History Department in the College of Basic Education in the two Universities of Babylon and Al-Mustansiriya in the academic year 2013-2014.

The researcher has used a questionnaire as a tool of the research after being sure of its validity and reliability.

Bergson's correlative factor, the close mean, and the percentage weight have been used.
