Abstract EN

The field of library and information science testifies rapid development globally, this development requires from the apartments of library and information science to review it is degree plans to keep pace with requirements of the job markets as well as to be to provide the students with the skills that they need.

One of the courses that play a virtual role in providing the students with the research skills "research methodology at information studies".

The study problem is that despite the important of the above mentioned course in providing the students with the research skills in most of the library and information science departments at Arabic world and some of Western countries, however there are two courses that are overlapping in most of the degree plans for library departments.

These courses are " graduation project" and the "practical training".

The study aimed to clarify the meaning of the three courses.

As well as the study aimed to analysis the content of the three courses and identify the percentage of the overlapping.

To achieve the study aims the descriptive analytical approach has been used.

The study concluded with there is a overlapping between the three courses by more than 60%.
